Students Seek Solutions To THE HISTORY DEPARTMENT offers a wide range of knowledge to Stadium students. Through history, students are able to observe possible solu- tions to many of the world's problems, and also iind solutions of their own. In Civics they learn about our own United States governmentg in World Problems they learn and study the problems confronting the World, in United States History they learn the foundations upon which our nation was establishedg and in World History they study the history of Europe, and of the earliest civilizations. There has been a notable change in the World History course this year. In years past, this course was taught in a single year, but this year the His- tory department experimented with a new idea. The course has been extended over two years, thus dividing the program. The individual sections are: Ancient History, Medieval History, Modern History, and Far East History. MR. DAVID L. MR. LOYD R. PERCY Boys' Counselorg Boys' Club Ad- visor: University of Puget Sound, B.A.q University of Min- nesota, M.Ed. 4--,R Mr. Percy talks with one of Stadium's students about his schedule for next year. STADIUM COUNSELORS were always available to help students with class schedules, personal problems, and future plans. Students often sought help and advice from Mr. Percy and Miss Sohlberg, concerning class schedules. Miss Forbes spent long hours each day aiding college and career bound students. Scholarship information and application blanks were also ob- tained from the counselor's office. With the aid of an extensive college catalogue and vocational book library, students were able to make a more stable decision about their college or career. Miss Forbes also supplied students with infor- mation about the numerous colleges throughout the country. Since the Juniors were also having college conferences this year, Miss Forbes was extremely busy and limited in time to be used for individual advice.
