B-team Posts Winning Season The Rams had an exceptional B-team this year — one which took third-place in the league tournament. They missed taking home the first-place trophy by one point in overtime. The Rams were led by sophomore, Tom Boiler, who was responsible for the playmaking. Juniors Joe Boiler and Mike Minnerath did a major part of the scoring. Brad Becker and Mike Pound were the spear-heads of the defense. Tom Tighe and Clayton Lavender also contributed to the success of the team. The B-team was coached by Vernon Kober who was also assistant coach for the varsity team. He was quoted as the season closed as having said “I am quite pleased with our team; the boys hustled well all season.
