Mary Lou crowned the statue of our Lady during the traditional May Crowning ceremonies and offered, in behalf of the student body, their love and gratitude.

This quartet represented SXH at the semi-finals of the apologetics contest, held in Belleville, October 24. Dorothy and Manuel, who rated highly superior, were entitled to participate in the diocesan finals at Victoria, November 1. Manuel scored second place honors and received a gold medal for his rating.

In its third year of existence, at St. Xavier’s, the Student Council has proved to be an asset to the school. Its goal, to promote leadership among the students, has reached its peak this past year as SXH ers exhibited their God-given talents in displaying good example, cooperation, and sportsmanship. The Council is to be congratulated for its achievement in developing Christ- like leaders within the student body of SXH.
