HISTGRY It is a challenging task to make the past relive. Frs. Garvey and Trafi- canti and Messers. Grdina, Ballaban, Hils, and Berning do just this in their freshman and sophomore hi s t o r y classes. Several outside projects, such as the Archeology Club and history movies, encourage further student in- terest. Perhaps nothing so convinces people of the importance of this sub- ject as the frequent appearance of famous historical fi g u r e s on the screen and television. Helping the student body to become Well-rounded indivi- duals are Messers. Glenn, Trier, Wis- nievvski, Meirose, Ruland, Singer, and Kvapil, all of Whom teach Eng- lish. In the Latin department, Messers. Serrick, King, and Dister introduce the freshmen to that tongue, Mr. Quinn and Fr. Wieber Wage Caesar's battles with the sophomores, and Fr. Walsh teaches juniors and seniors. Mr. Rule handles the Greek depart- ment, and Mr. Thom and Fr. Shuman teach French and Spanish respective- ly to the juniors and seniors.
