Very Rev. John J. Benson, S.J. President Xavier's new president, Father Benson, is no stranger to Cincinnati, for he was principal of the high school for several years and dean of Xavier University immediately afterward. His keen interest in the welfare of the students is shown by his efforts as moderator of the Dads' Club to make the acquaintance of every student's father at the monthly meet- ings. Father is seldom seen by the students, for he is con- stantly at work attending to the countless administrative duties which his position entails.

'kggtk Rev. William H. Berdan, S.J. Assistant Principal Xavier's genial Assistant Principal, Father Berdan, manages the-thou- sand-and-one small details which pertain to the daily operation of the school. Noon passes, Mass cards, absentee notes, jug slips, bus permits are but a few of the items which come under his sur- veillance. Father is busy when the first student arrives in the morning and remains hard at work until the last student leaves in the after- noon. The fact that Father Berdan capably carries on through the day is proof of his competence. Rev. William F. Fay, S.J. Principal Father Fay works with the presi- dent to perform the difficult task of coordinating all the activities of the faculty and the student body. The success of Father's efforts is evident in the well integrated daily program which keeps the school smoothly functioning. Father is al- ways on hand to give the solutions to any and all problems with a friendly smile and a helping hand. Father Fay does an outstanding job of fulfilling the duties of prin- cipal despite the many other de- tails which demand his constant supervision.
