The marching hand and orchestra are flourishing this year under the direction of Mr. Traflcanti, who himself is a fmc musician. Mr. Traflcantfs teaching duties consist of Ameri- can and Modern European History. St. Xavier's chief agent for school supplies, Mr. Ricci does a booming business in the Xavier bookstore. Most of the plaudits given to the band for their snappy half- time shows should be directed to Mr. Kay, who planned and directed the intricate forma- tions. Kay A large part of St. Xis coaching is done by Tom Ballaban. Ile is the head coach of Xaviefs championship basketball team and holds down the job of assistant coach of the football team. Teaching Ancient History in four freshman classes completes his schedule. Coaching varsity football and reserve basketball keeps Mr. Von Hollc pretty busy most of the year. He conducts classes in History, Economics, and Business Law along with physical education.

Rev. Richard I. Brown, SJ. Mr. O'Leary, a teacher at St. Xavier for over a quarter of a century, still has a full schedule of five math classes, including three Geometry and two Alge- bra in second and third years. A popular newcomer at St. Xavier, Mr. Dulin moderates the junior Sodality and the highly successful Bellarmine Dcbaters. Scholastically, hc teaches freshman English and Algebra classes. Familiar to all those who use the student library, Father Meder also is sponsor of the junior Red Cross here at St. X. Church. Sl Rev. john L. Uhl, SJ. Mr. john R. O'Leary Mr. John McAnaw and successful organization. Veteran Religion and Algebra teacher, Father Brown this year completes his thirty-second year of teaching. His day is rounded out with the hearing of confessions in St. Xavier If little is seen of Father Uhl when he is not teaching his four math classes a day, it is that he is busy in the Alumni Oflice. Father has done much to keep the Alumni an active An interesting fact about Mr. McAnaw, and one not too Well known, is that he feels just as much at home on a baseball diamond as in an Algebra, Geometry, or Trigonometry class. The shining appearance of the school liuilding and the care with which it is kept up are due to the efforts of Father Hussey, who is in charge of the workmen and the ilnprovelnents around the house. Father Hussey also teaches Religion to the seniors every clay. Rev. Maurice I. Hussey, SJ. Anyone who has ever visited the treasure-r's office has seen Father VValsh liusy at work halancing the hooks. Father XValsh has been suc- cessfully keeping the school out of the red for many years. Brotheris stories ahout days gone hy hold his audience fascinated hy the hour. Brother Xliesen has the all-important joh of making sure that the faculty nrenrhers are well fed.
