'EN Van ACULTY Mr Thomas G. Savage, SJ. Mr. F. Iames Wetzel, SJ. English and Public Speaking have been taught at Xavier for twenty-seven years by Mr. Glenn, whose ready humor adds interest and variety to all his classes. Handling the job of athletic director at Xavier is Mr. Cagney, who also coaches the freshman basketball team and varsity golf team. In the classroom Mr. Cagney teaches third year English. Mr. Alfred D. Cavanaugh Mr. Savage, besides teaching fourth year English and sec- ond year Public Speaking, also handles the play and oratorical contests at Xavier. This, in addition to being publicity director and assistant athletic director, keeps him busy throughout the year. Mr. Wetzel, moderator of the senior sodalists, teaches third year Latin and second year English. His capable management made the play a financial as well as dra- matic success.

Rev. Leo I. McKenna, SJ. Rev. Edward L. Wieher, SJ. Likahle Father McKenna is teaching at Xavier for the first time, and has already found a warm reception from his students. He is director of the Sodality in the school, student counselor for seniors and juniors, and teaches Religion to several classes. The Mothers, Club has an untiring moderator in Father NVieber, who is responsible for many of their successes. Besides teaching Religion to freshman and seniors, Father is also the student counselor for all freshmen and sopho- mores, who are free to sce him as often as they wish to discuss their problems. Although most of the students meet Father Gillespie only dur- ing his Religion classes, he is also widely-known for his dex- terity in performing sleigbt-of- hand tricks. Father is in his third year at Xavier. Father Nolan, after many years K of teaching at the University X' of Detroit, came to Cincinnati's St. Xavier to assume several elasses in Religion. Rev. Joseph J. Gillespie, SJ. Rev. Peter E. Nolan, SJ. Father Milet is well known by the Xavierites who attend the second student Mass every morning. Besides teaching Religion, Father is also one of the regular eonfessors in the student chapel. Besides teaching Religion at St. X, Father McFarland is in charge of the Catholic Students Mission Crusade. Both the Campion Dehaters and the Sophomore Sodality have Mr, Talkin as their moderator. Teaching first and second year Latin and first year English are some of the other duties he performs at St. X. During the past year Mr. Tallcin has heen the president of the Greater Cin- lm cinnati Speech League. Most of his day is spent teaching two freshman Latin classes. The varied half-time skits presented hy the cheerleaders were the result of Mr. Besse's diligent coaching. The moderator of the Archeology Cluh, Mr. W'uest, is also often to hc scen in the lihrary where he assists Father Meder. During the rest of the day he teaches freshman Latin. N Mr. N.
