Wehdclih High School Pittsburgh, Pa. There's Music In All Things If Men Had Ears BROWNING As we, the graduates of St. NVendelin Hig' School, survey the world which we are abou to enter, we find it a troubled one, indeed. Rc gardless of our chosen profession, we will b called upon to uphold the truths and idea' instilled in us here at St. VVendelirfs. In striving to attain our goal in life each c us embarks upon a search. The lawyer searchs for justice, the scientist, for knowledge, th mother, for goodness in her children, the mus. cian, for beauty. These varied quests, in ligl of Catholic training, are found to have a con mon focal point-Almighty Cod. The 1957 Wendelite illustrates just one c these searches-Music-and its ultimate destiny God. The following pages tell a story of every day school life-the things we want to remem ber. These events are viewed from the musi cian's angle-the gay cadenza of innocent laugh ter, the harmonious chords of co-operation, th delightful ensemble of personalities that mak up the school, the spectacular melody of youtl resounding here. Though time steals away ou youth, may it never silence that song of love ii our hearts. SIQNIOHS ........ G40 l'NlJIuliC.IASSIL5 .,.,..... .. E AC'l'IVVl'I ICS FI 'Yl'l'liF9 4. J. .,..... To our Parents, our first teachers, who enkin- dled in us the spark of life, the holy, healthy, and happy homes they provided became our first classrooms. To the Sisters who, through twelve years of instruction and understanding, have increased the flame of knowledge and stimulated a burn- ing desire to learn. To the Priests, who have enriched the fire of sanctity in our lives through spiritual guidance and counsel and who have given us spiritual maturity. With the Hre of love of Cod, with which we are now filled, we can enter His world to illumi- nate it in His honor and to radiate truth, strength, courage, and service. is .Q Lifted In His Name REVEEEND GEORGE P.
