Seniors were prisoners in their home-room. 15. Cagers trimmed St. Iohn's, Delphos, 51-28. 19. Mrs. Kinnaman entertained Glee Club at Christmas party. 20. Black and Gold Warriors crushed Calvert, 29-21. 20. Christmas vacation began. IANUARY 1941 3. St. Mary's, Marion stopped Saints' winning streak, 30-28. 5. Saints took Alumni, 28-18. 7. F. H. S. Redmen took first tilt to the tune of 46-44. 16. Third Amateur Contest was held. 17. Lima St. Rose defeated S. W. H. cagers, 34-25. 19. St. Wendelin five tasted defeat at the hands of Toledo Central 21. Bachemen relinquished game to Lima St. Iohn's, 21-20. 23. Iuniors held dance in gym. 24. Ticket sale for Always Count Ten opened. 24. Flu epidemic started spreading. FEBRUARY 3. Undefeated Sandusky St. Mary's crushed Mohawks, 31-21. 4. Countyliners whipped Fremont, 31-27. 7. Saints plowed under by Marion, 31-20. 9. Catholic Chronicle campaign started. 11. Mohawks trimmed F. H. S., 57-44. 18. Bachemen dropped title to Trubeymen, 20-31. 14. Wendelinites took revenge on Lima, St. Iohn's, 38-28. 20. Seniors lead play ticket campaign with 1l6.6'X1. 19-20. Always Count Ten, three act comedy, was presented. 21. Calvert suffered defeat at the hands of the Mohawks, 37-27. 25. Countyliners trampled Upper Sandusky, 45-11. 27. Seniors selected class rings. Page 'Thirty-One

6 SEPTEMBER 1. All-Catholic and All-American Ratings were awarded the Wendelette. 2. Football practice began. 6. School re-opened with 126 students. 6. New assistant, Father Cowan assumed his duties. 13. Mohawks were defeated by F. H. S. Trubeymen, 12-7. 13. The Wendelette subscription drive got under way. 27. S. W. H. gridders suffered defeat from Columbus North, 26-6. 30. The Wendelette drive ended successfully with more than 300 subscriptions. OCTOBER 3. First free day was given because of the dedication of new Cathedral. 3. Dorothy Keiffer and Ioanne Huth attended National Catholic Education Press Congress, Milwaukee. 6. Wendelette Staff held wiener roast at City Park. 9. Classes elected officers for school year. 12. Students received free day in honor of Columbus. 12. Bachemen downed Marion, St. Mary's, 12-0. 14. Knute Rockne All-American was attended by the student body at the State Theater. 14. A football, autographed by Pat O'Brien, was presented to the team. 19. Mohawks bowed to Tiffin Calvert, 14-7. 24. Seniors sponsored Penny Party. 25. Countyliners tied with Upper Sandusky, 13-13. NOVEMBER l. Sandusky St. Mary's trounced Mohawks. 2. C. S. M. C. bake sale netted 5108. 10. Bachemen lost to Fremont St. Ioe, 6-0. 18-20. Reverend Francis Fate conducted spiritual retreat in the high school chapel. 20. Thirty-eight entrants were received into the Sodality. 21. Thanksgiving vacation begins. -'age Thirty

C' MARCH Entrants of American Legion Essay Contest were submitted. Coach Bache drew Whetstone tor tournament at Bascom. S. W. H. beat Whetstone, 47-37. Attica five trounced Mohawks, 48-31. Senior girls went to Notre Dame, Cleveland, for scholarship exam. Fr. William Burns told the stcry cf his capture and adventures to the stu- dent body. Pictures for Froslin were taken. Quill and Scroll contest was entered. Father Weber celebrated his 87th birthday. Inter-class basketball contest held: seniors beat the juniors, 43-41. Spring arrived. Magazine drive opened. APRIL Ursula and Mildred Finsel placed first and second respectively, in the an- nual spelling contest. Senior boys went to Toledo for De Sales College Scholarship exams. 10, ll. Tenebrae services were held at the church. Easter vacation began. Elk's Essay contest entries were submitted. Rita Binkley and Myron Ziegman received first and second awards of S15 and 510, respectively, in the Elk's Essay contest. Froslin subscription drive closed. Sing a Song of Sixteen ticket campaign opened with a bang. Rita Binkley, Emmet Sheeran, Virginia Lichtle, Harry Stoner, Mildred Finsel. Robert Mahin, Margaret Devore, and Iames Kinn were awarded prizes in the American Legion Essay Contest. MAY The musical comedy, Sing a Song of Sixteen was a great success. Ascension Thursday. Iuniors held gala prom for outward bound seniors. IUNE Senior day of Recollection. Seniors are sophomores' guests at graduation breakfast. Commencement.
