Ma. Zlmm Racine Two years ago Mr. Elmer Bache, who was graduated from Dayton University in 1939, came to St. Wendelin High Szhool as a teacher and athleti: coach. Besides coaching football and basketball, Mr. Bache taught mod- ern history, business arithmetic, economical geography, business English, and physical education. During his stay in Fostoria, Mr. Bache has made many friends both in and out of our school. We wish to ex- press our thanks to him for all that he has done for the students both in athletics and in the class room. 4? Mu. William Siaelcdr In September, 1940, the student body welcomed to its midst Mrs. William Shields, as the high school's new sec- retary. Mrs. Shields will be remembered by the class of '41 as one who was always pleasant, always willing, and always ready to help. Mu lfuuzcunan As directress of the Glee Club, Mrs. Floyd Kinnaman has successfully completed her fourth year at St, Wen- delin. Under her careful guidance many numbers have been learned in unison and in mixed voice parts. In the short time that she has been with us, the students have come to look upon music with a keener sense of appre- ciation. To you, Mrs. Kinnaman, the graduating class wish to express their warmest gratitude and thanks for your in- spiring help and council. lout- llwi-lxw

Your winning smile and ready wit have lent cheer and happiness to many students. ' X F? Q. 4 I 1 It is at this time that we take the opportunity to sin- cerely thank Father Ruess for his kindness towards us. Although not a member of the faculty, he has always taken a kindly interest in St. Wendelin High and its stu- dents. He is spiritual director of the Blessed Virgin Mary's Sodality. That his efforts be blessed with success is the prayer of the class of 1941. Page Eleven
