Live as if you expected to live a hundred years, but might die tomorrow. The greatest loss of time is delay and expectation, which depend upon the future. We let go the present, which we have in our power, and look forward to that which depends upon chance — and so relinquish a certainty for an uncertainty. 7

The high school we dreamed of for so long in grade school has taken shape, a part of us that is never to be forgotten. The unity and closeness achieved at Saint Vincent’s will remain in our memories forever. On the road of experience and trying to find my own way, sometimes I wish that I could fly away. When I think that I’m moving, suddenly things stand still. I’m afraid ’cause I think they always will. And I’m looking for space, and to find out who I am, and I’m looking to know and understand. All alone in the universe, sometimes that’s how it seems. Then I look in the center, suddenly everything’s clear. When you’re looking for space, and to find out who you are, when you’re trying to try and reach the stars . . .

Every moment of relentless time brings us closer to our goals which are fast becoming reality. There are many roads ahead of us. We have all the decisions of our lives facing us now, and these years of our high school 8 serve as the transition period into adulthood. If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.
