Trust Your Car With the Man Who Wears the Star WILDCAT EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC. To the 1975 graduating class of St. Vincent's Academy, We, your parents, have made an effort, however meager it may have seemed at times, to attend to your needs and desires, real and imagined, in that time now past, the springtime of your lives. Times have so vastly changed from what we knew at your age, that our efforts at guidance lacked, in so many cases, an under- standing that we were totally incapable of giving. The attempt was made to give you what we considered proper guidance, for this effort was tempered with some thirty-five to forty odd years experience backing it up. You see, it is a simple fact that most of us have passed our summertime and are into the fall of our lives, whereas you are about to embark upon this time of your lives that shall prove to be so very critical to your future mental and physical happiness. Many of us will feel total success and be exhilarated at the fine job we did; many others will feel the effort put forth was adequate; yes, there will even be a few that falsely feel total failure, but it is YOU and no one else that these feelings depend upon. Your desire, or lack thereof, has dictated these feelings we have, for you see, we wished for you something we either weren't capable of or had the opportunity to be and we were just trying to guide you toward these ends. Your understanding of these efforts will fulfill our fondest desires at this moment. As you go forth into this, the summer of your lives, I feel the leads listed here will give you a better oppor- tunity for true happiness and serenity each day, than some of us experience just once in a lifetime. With the exception of the first, they are not necessarily in order of importance. First, love God with all the fervor you can muster, for He returns this love in innumerable and most intangi- ble ways each day. Secondly, make a conscious effort to manifest a love of all mankind. I have never seen a person saddened by thinking a good thought or doing a kind deed. Each of us has been allotted a certain time in this transient state we call life, and time can become either friend or foe, dependent upon our use of it. Each second is a portion of our journey towards eternity and we should not struggle to hoard this time, but give of it generously and use it ever so wisely. Next, the friendships you make in life depend primarily upon you. Zealously guard and cherish true friend- ship, for you will never experience a love like that of a true and loyal friend. One of the most important leads is to accept that each age has its own particular joys, mysteries, and yes, even sorrows. Never stop growing and learning to enjoy this advancement that unfolds each day. There are some that hate to grow old, but this part of the advancement, too, has its own traits peculiar to any other age. And last but certainly not least, never forget that we, your parents, with all our faults and mistakes, love you with all our hearts and souls — yes, more than even life itself.
