Play production was one of the major projects of the 1957- 8 speech class, which presented The Green Bough on Febru- ary 8. Completing the set for the speech play was the main concern of Camille Danna. Carol Plagens, Ann Robson. Mary Elizabeth Young. Barbara Buchanan, and Janelle Mayeaux. DEBATE Seniors selected as members of the National Forensic League, an organization honoring stu- dent public speakers, were Charlene Atkins, Pat Corrington, Marie Goebel, and Rita Porteous. Although receiving superior ratings at the Southwestern Tournament in La- fayette, December 13 and 14, Melanie Martin, Hazel Reagor, Rue Ann Mayeaux, Sara Gail Cloutier, Margaret Gorton, Janelle Mayeaux, J o n i c Poudrier. and Patsy Yager believe in practice makes perfect. Returning from the debate tournament, held in Denton, Texas, on December 15 and 14. are Pat Dunne. Carol Mangham. Rita Sue Pope, Nancy Goodwillie, and La- Velle Hunt. Debate Officers for the 1957-58 school year are: Margaret Gorton, secretary; Jonic Poudrier, vice president; Janelle Mayeaux. president; and Sara Gail Cloutier, treasurer.
