Text from Pages 1 - 112 of the 1957 volume:

'ptneto ict One Life—How will you use it? One Soul—How will you save it? One Eternity—Where will you spend it? Since life is a battle and a journey reaching through the arches of time to- ward eternity, our teachers, our activi- ties, our studies equip us in the prepara- tion for a successful victory in achieving the eternal purpose of God. We, the yearbook staff, do humbly submit this yearbook, which shows forth our everyday life as we live it and mould it for The Eternal Victory of everlasting Happiness. Decttc4iti6«t For many years as a teacher and principal of St. Vincent’s, Sr. Cornelia has done much to bring us girls closer to God and our eternal goal. Because she inspires our intellectual growth with her in instructions and under- standing we look upon her as an inspiration, realizing the intellectual and spiritual chal- lenge that she represents. Because of her un- failing humor, she has acquired our friend- ship. For these reasons, we the Staff of the 57 Vincentian find it fitting and proper to dedi- cate this yearbook to Sr. Cornelia D.C., our beloved principal. The Bishop extends his blessings to the students of St. Vincent’s and wishes that they may always keep fixed in their hearts a deep love and devotion to Christ and His Blessed Mother, who will make their life most rewarding and enable them to achieve their eternal goal. Sufien tfe icCe tt Dtoce6cut Dear Students, Like the Trinity itself our souls, our lives, our eternity, though distinct, are united, for the soul is part of life, and life is eternity begun. If a girl follows the beacon of light that flows from her Catholic Education, a beacon which gets its brilliance from that hope of the Cross, her life, her soul, her eternity will he united in the experience of happiness without end with the Source of all happiness! May that happiness he yours! In the Sacred Heart of Jesus, H. CLINTON TEACLE Director Above: Mother Clarissa and Sr. Bernadine plan new and better things. Below: Fr.
