enthusiasm and anticipation mark class of '69 drawing students become draftsmen. Junior year is a year of preoccu- pation with tomorrow. Two years at St. V have given the Juniors time to clarify their goals and ideals, but the maior decisions are still to come. Early in the year they began a long series of college entrance and schol- arship qualifying tests, including the PSAT and National Merit Scholarship Test. Seeking answers to questions about school and courses of study, they frequented the offices of guid- ance counselors. Suddenly the Jun- iors were aware that there was only one year left, and the thought of the next timrrthe next Prom, the next election, the next season-be- came very important since everyone was conscious that the next time was going to be their last time. Junior class officers: T. Galati, F. Tomei, J. Fenwick, and P. Bertsch. Juniors this year gave vital service to the school. They formed the core of a winning football team and gave promise of future basketball suc- cess by their strong showing on Jun- ior Varsity and Varsity teams. In preparation for future responsibili- ties, Juniors guarded halls, assisted in the office, and served on the aud- io-visual squad. Junior midshipmen sparked the crew of HMS Pinafore and Junior girls gave a fine singing performance in the annual talent show. Together with the Seniors, Juniors contributed their efforts to boosting of Irish spirit. With election of Junior Steve Jessie as student council president, the entire school passed on to his class the duty of continued improvement of St. V. Mrs. Eugene Sawan English, Musical Production

It is a time of emergence- no longer an underclassman, the junior faces new privileges and responsibilities It is a time of experience- N.H.S., class rings, the prom, many new opportunities open to the junior. It is a time of enlightenment- the iunior investigates more advanced fields of study including trig and chemistry. It is a time of enrichment- .the activities of a year combine .to make the iunior a more complete individual.
