But the freshmen survived this tradition- al initiation. They have proved them- selves worthy of becoming part of St. V Change- is a mark of freshman year. Added to a lively freshman reli- gion course were electives of geography and vocational guidance. Along with their regular world history course, fresh- men were introduced to the study of Eastern Culture. Possibly studied even harder by the Class of '70 was West Market Street culture. Valuable lessons in this subject were gained at football and basketball games, informative assemblies, and hops such as the Alo-hop.
