St. Vincent students devote the first 42- minute period of the day to religion class. Here they analyze their Catholic Faith with the same concentration as the rest of their academic curriculum. The theo- logical virtues of faith, hope, and charity, the cardinal moral virtues of prudence, justice, fortitude and temperance come under close investigation. Tom Battenberg handled the running chores. The squad opened by losing a heartbreaker to Buchtel, but came back to thump a strong Canton Central crew. Suffering from a flu outbreak which saw only four regulars start, the Irish fell before a powerful Akron Central team. The next week they halted the East Ori- entals in a comeback, then lost another sgueaker to South and bowed to Bar- berton. Proof-reading, planning headlines, and setting up layouts constitute the tasks of the editors.
