. . . a clarion Work, work, and more Work! That's the function of the Shamrock staff. Carol Fassnacht, Ann Curtis, and Mary Lou Richards, Jane Pringle, Mary Jane Michalec, and Janice Farris feel that Way too. These typists and solicitors combine their talents willingly to get the patrons who make the yearbook possible. Each girl will admit that it's Well Worth her effort. Not to be out done by these hard workers are the copy Writers: Antoinette Benko, Larry Karadin, Edward Rolph, Charlotte Hummel, Zaunia Becker, and Daniel Metz, who buckle down to the ,tasks of Writing for the Shamrock. Mary King, Jacqueline Maroon, Frances Timlin, Eileen McAleese, and Car- ol Bayman volunteer their services for the job of filing, a big part of securing advertisements. Map- ping out the plan for the yearbook is the layout staff: Tom Costello, Mary Codispoti, Madeleine Gal- lagher, and Michael Aldrich. A printing device captures the attentions of Joseph Egan, Mary In- man, and Theresa Seman. Taking note of the work- ings of a machine used for letter press are Sister Diana, Joseph Egan, Patricia Shand, Molly Jo Hunt- er, Gerald Frient and Don C. Kisabeth, who is con- ducting them on a tour through the Gray Printing Co. which prints the Shamrock. The life of a year- book staff may be rough, but everyone agrees that there will be double satisfaction when the l955 edition of the Shamrock is completed. 1 N -C I X If

Sgeging A Pfam .Aclfwn The twentieth century seeks a plan of action-a plan which enables each man to place himself rightfully in the society of men, a plan which gives him the surest and safest means of reaching his goal-God. This plan is his vocation. By making use of the spiritual and material direction offered by the faculty at Saint Vincent, her students find it easier to construct their future careers according to God's design. The seniors of Saint Vincent are aware that although they leave this school of learning behind, the light of Thomas continues to guide them on their course to God. Ordain, O my God, my whole life, and what Thou requirest that I should do, grant me to know it, and to fulfill it .... -St. Thomas Aquinas
