English made practical . . . Who's who in poetry? For an English pro- ject sophomore boys dramatize characters in realistic American poetry. Joseph Kurtz dressed in the style of Davey Crockett obliges with The Ballad of William Syca- more. Exemplifying other famous figures in Mr. Bell and Emily Post Sullivan residence, Kath- leen speaking. Freshmen apply the principles of courtesy in their use of the telephone. Joan Davidson and Lynda Price direct the activity from their guide books, as Marian Spalding relates the latest news to Kathleen. The Ohio Bell Telephone Company visits Saint Vincent periodically to give interesting and helpful suggestions on tele- phone technique. American literature are Jack Fitzgerald, Thomas Bauer, and Paul Bertsch, who are interested in their fictional brothers The Man with the Hoe, portrayed by Philip Averill, and Joseph Maite disguised as The Barefoot Boy.

Solutions are discovered in vocational and commercial classes, mathematics and science laboratories, health and social studies discussions.
