We hope that in some small measure we have been able to reflect his wise guidance and high ideals. We sincerely pray that Bishop Hoban, who assumed his duties as spiritual shepherd of the Cleveland diocese four years ago, will continue to be blessed by Almighty God with good health and success in the fulfillment of his holy office. Hagan, who was a true friend and guide to all students, came to an end on September 28, 1946. Only three months before his death, as a reward for his work as superintendent of schools in the Diocese of Cleveland, he had been elevated to the dignity of the episcopate. Our memories recall his many friendly visits to our school and his keen interest in our activities, while our hearts harbor gratitude for his unselfish sacrilices. 8
