ISO 3 I953 0HIO'S SESQUICENTENNIAL 1953 marks an important event in the history of Ohio-the 150th anniversary of Ohio's admission as the seventeenth state in the Union. Through the pages of our yearbook We are honoring this memorable event. As future citizens of Ohio, we are striv- ing to acquire the civic virtues necessary for good citizenship. Among these are In God We moral responsibility, sound judgment, good sportsmanship, initiative, loyalty. If we let it, our school will strengthen these virtues in each of us. This is the main purpose of her moral, intellectual, social and physical programs. Then we shall make Ohio truly an Em- pire within an Empiref as we hold fast to our great American motto: Trust Symbolizing St. Ursula's Sesquicentennial observance this year, the four class presidents hold the Great Seal of the State of Ohioi'-Carol jean Schuchter, sophomoreg Mary Alice Brand, senior, Patricia Siemers, junior, and Knne Evans freshman.
