Or does it? For instance, Who handles college applications and transcripts? Gr Who takes care of the detention schedule? The obvious answer is Mr. Valenti and Mr. Pyne. Unfortun- ately, in this thinking, the focal point, the nerve center-the secretaries-are completely over- looked. For this reason We wish to extend sincere appreciation to our office personnel: Miss Ken- nedy, Miss Burlchardt and Mrs. Dadonna. By their loyal dedication and exceptional service, the dif- ficult task of running the school has been made much easier, even possible. In this it is a valuable sounding board for the faculty and an effective catalyst among the students. Members serve as ushers at school functions and provide for student participation at Mass. This year, one of its minor contributions had a special appeal: the introduc- tion of greater variety in the cafeteria menu. The World Affairs Council makes an important contribution to the school, a contribution that is sometimes overlooked. It helps its members and the student body as a Whole to realize We are not isolated individuals in the world. There are peo- ple of other cultures and lifestyles, most less for- tunate than We. Through the Council, St. Thomas More does something about it. The UNICEF col- lection at Halloween is just one example. Keep after us, men. VVOIQLD AFFAIRS CIDLJNCII. SEATED: VV. Ryals, D.
