ST, THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL FoR'rY-sEvENTH STREET AND WYALUSING AVENUE PHILADELPHIA al. PA. June 5, 19611 Dear Seniors, Another June is here, another class is about to bid us Wadieu.U Our emotions are mixed - we're glad to see you go since you have achieved a goal in graduating and you are about to enter a higher level of lifeg we're sad to see you go because we've come to know you, to appreciate your varied talents, your spirit of cooperation over the past four years. Cardinal Newman once penned the beautiful words, NGod has created you for some definite serviceg He has committed some work to you which He has not committed to another.n Success or failure in carrying out this work will depend greatly upon your attitude toward life, your initiative in taking advantage of opportunities, your perseverance in facing up to inevitable difficulties. As you wend along 1ife's way ever keep in mind that the prayers and good wishes of your school, your teachers, your fellow students are with you. Yours in Mary Immaculate, ,ggZQ97nl.ll.a2fff:?25EEaaaiaf fig? CRev.J Aloysius P. Grass, C.M. Rector

SENIORS One picture is worth a thousand words. Take a look at our picture, what do we see? We, the senior class, see much more than build- ings, streets, and gardens. We see our future mapped out before our eyes. The clear sharp foreground is our immediate future, whether college or work. The large avenue, we would liken to the highway of life leading to a temple blurred and distance. But, we also see the de- tours. The temple on a hill in the distance we see as our hopes and self-set goals of life. We are con- fident that we will dwell in this Temple: that our goals will be within our reach. Yes, a simple picture to you but to us who are about to take to that highway, an invaluable guide.
