COLONEL JOHN T. EWING Professor of Military Science and Tactics Our PMST possesses the qualities of a leader and a gentleman; above and beyond this he has done his utmost to instill these characteristics in the members of the senior class. These qualities, plus his sense of humor and devotion to duty, command from all of us respectful admiration and devotion. COLONEL GEORGE E. LANGELAND Principal As our appreciation of Colonel Langeland has grown in the past four years, so will it continue to grow following our graduation. Surely, no member of the Class of 55 will find it possible to obliterate from his mind the joviality, gontlemanliness, Christian attitude, and willingness of our Principal to aid in solving any of our problems. THE REVEREND JOHN R. ROACH Director No member of the present administrative body at St. Thomas Academy has taken greater interest in the Corps of Cadets than our beloved Director. Father Roach's eager- ness to help is overshadowed only by his immense capa- bilities. He has given to each of us the benefit of his mcny and varied experiences — experiences which we have yet to encounter. Academy Administration Poge eleven

THE VERY REVEREND VINCENT J. FLYNN President, St. Thomas Military Academy Our admirable president. Father Vincent J. Flynn, has worked endlessly to make St. Thomas a better school for us to attend. He does not encounter the problems that arise in our school merely as an administrator, but being an alumnus of the Academy, he looks at the problems from the viewpoint of the student. It is through his untiring efforts that we have such a fine educational institution. Poge ten

FATHERS' CLUB The St. Thomas Military Academy Fathers' Club is an organization of which we are justly proud. They contribute greatly to the funds providing for the enjoyment of Cadets. It is this club that makes possible the annual Father-Son banquet held every May, as well as the Parents' Weekend in October, which incidentally, was better attended this year than any other. Midway through the school year they conducted a panel discussion on the problems of teenagers, a well-attended and worthwhile event. Among the things done this year was the purchasing of a television set for the Cadets of Ireland Hall. Working under the belief that an interested father makes an interested son, this organi- zation, through its leaders, Messrs. Joseph Summers, John Sweet, Don Leo, and Edward Gordon, has done much to better the welfare of St. Thomas. The Prexy and his henchmen talk it over. Are you there? A smoker? Where are the cigarettes? Say Cheese Prof. Is it that serious, Mr. Kurtz.
