The Alpha, the Omega; the Beginning, the End. Quite an easy way to summarize this senior year, bui only a minute expression of what being a senior REALLY means. No words could every fully express the depth of emotion each of us has felt — the apprehension, the confusion, the anxiety, the excitement. But above all. there exists the deep regret of leaving people we’ve come to know and love. Peering into the mirror of the past, we view ourselves entering the doors of St. Thomas as weak and immature adolescents exposed to a totally unique environment for the first time. But these four years have had a deeply impressionable effect on our lives. As we prepare to venture from the safe confines of these surroundings, we feel confident that we have the ability to cope with whatever situation life may offer us, for the faith others have had in us will be the strength and motivating force behind our endeavors. Though a way of life we have known for twelve long years is about to come to a close, we prefer to consider this a new beginning. We are approaching the crossroads of our lives — on the threshold of developing the person each of us yearns to be. And though we have reached the climax of our high school years, we are standing at the nadir of a new mountain in our lives, progressing ahead, but never abandoning the treasured influence of the friends we have made. So it is to this perpetual climb, this continual progression, that we dedicate this book. To surge onward will take strong will and determination, but the lasting memory of the moments we have shared together will serve to strengthen our endurance as we continue our climb to the summit of our lives.
