Retrospect It has been a long, hard struggle preparing the 1964 yearbook, but it is finally finished and ready to be examined by all. We are all happy to have been a part in the making of this yearbook and are pleased by the effects of our efforts. The Retrospect is one of the most important undertakings of the senior class. It holds within its pages all the memorable events that we want to remember and records the faces of our friends. We have worked hard spending endless hours laboring over copy and typing up copy-sheets to make our Retrospect better than that of any previous class. The editors, James Fatula and Jo Ann Rocco, decide a plan for the next yearbook meeting. Carol Benes. Joanne Blasko, Barbara Bujakovski, and Cecilia Bonacci compromise on the pictures for the yearbook. Has Teresa Terrick finally found a layout?  Another edition out! That's what Mary Ellen Man-gan, Sharon Kill, Thomas Szulc, Geraldine Downey, and Robert Marko look so relieved about. Shirley Valko, Patricia Zych, and Paula Zezza listen to Renee Walter and Margaret Szarmach explain the next step on the agenda. Albert Dzcrmejko explains the importance of column heads to the other newspaper members: Thomas Michlovic, Regis Sherer, Judith Nehilla, Maryanne Pvtka, and Donna Puz. Crucible A crucible is a large vessel used in the manufacturing of steel. The Crucible, our school paper, is, as it were, a melting pot of student and faculty opinion, ideas, and ideals. It is, in a sense, a medium for grinding out our opinions. The Crucible, dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, is published four times a year by the students of St. Thomas. The principles and policies of The Crucible are: to foster a Christian attitude in the student body, to bring school news of major and minor importance within reach of all students, to engage student interest and encourage a loyal school spirit, to reflect a unified student body functioning in a Catholic school, to give opportunity for students to express their opinions and ideas, and to provide opportunities for students interested in journalism.
