DEDICATION You have completed your high school career under the guidance and careful supervision of the Dominican Sisters, who have striven to form your characters to the image of God, your Creator. Outstanding in this long line of guides is Sister Eunice, your principal. Steeped in the spirit of Saint Dominic, Sister Eunice practices daily his ideals which can he summed up in a single word, Veritas. This motto of truth is reflected in the colors of her hlack cloak and veil, and habit of white. Black, the most absorbent of colors, conveys the idea that in humility, she acquires true knowledge which comes from God. To share this knowledge is essential; thus, garbed in white, the most diffusive color. Sister imitates Saint Dominic by spreading truth — spiritual as well as intellectual. Moreover, her devoted service to the school has filled all with a loyalty and deep respect coupled with a loving appreciation. Her interest in the advancement of each student has claimed a major portion of her valuable time. The office door is never closed to those who seek advice and counsel. Sister Eunice has truly been the guardian of minds and souls during her stay at Saint Thomas. Recalling her vigilance, direction, and encouragement, you, the graduating class of 1959, as a sincere expression of gratitude, dedicate your Thomasonian to Sister Eunice.
