Class Will The THOMASONIAN 194 3 We, the Senior Class of 1943, now graduates of St. I homas High, being of sound mind and body, hereby bequeath the following: To our pastors and teachers, we give our sincere thanks for the help and encouragement they have given us during our four years at St. Thomas. Individually: Francis Mannion and Henry Turkowski leave burning in the memory of their fellow-teammates their brilliant record in basketball. Jeanne McCrea bequeaths her brief-case to Edward Chopnak. Rosemary Huffman leaves her old. but faithful Underwood to Catherine Rice. To Thomas Whitney goes John Hagan’s splendid artistic ability. Joseph Brozda and Tim Downing leave their eye for business” to Jerome Schwaed and John Miller. Jean Betz and Teresa Jones bestow their cooperative nature on Ruth Crowley and Ellen Schwartz. Rosemary Dalton wills her interest in science to Mary A. Costello. Robert Tierney, John Dougherty, and William Spirk give their beloved Spanish books to Edgar Thoma, John West, and Joseph McBarron. Dolores Aranos passes her wonderful sense of humor to William McNanamy. Margaret O’Keefe and M. Catherine McGough leave their interest in Shakespeare to Mary O’Donnell and Mildred McNanamy. Marian Miller transmits her shy but pleasing way to Agnes Darby. James Laughrey wishes to leave his unfaltering interest in aviation to all of the Junior boys. Martha Dinger leaves her thirst for knowledge to Rita Conlin. Margaret Sullivan wills her “current events” in American History to Margaret Gleason. Kathryn J. Undercoffer, Marianne Faust, James McCue, and Pat McDonough leave their dancing ability to the jitterbugs of the Junior Class. To William Dixon goes John Kenst’s apologetic air. Brenda Biggins leaves her peaches-and-cream complexion to Kathleen Cummings. Helen Burke, Margaret Mangan, and Kathleen McCambridge leave their firm friendship to Doris Finnerty, Evelyn Boyle, and Virginia Dowd. Gladys Halley, Catherine and Ellen Walsh bestow their eagerness to be on time to the most punctual of the Juniors. To their teammates Alice Boland and Jean Klaus pass their basketball. Nancy Whalen bequeaths her sparkling personality to Dorothy Murphy. Richard Welsh and Edwin Ashoff deed their keen enthusiasm over sports to Pat O’Hara and Francis Mullaney. Mary Gordon leaves her pet subject—Algebra—to Jimmy Wilson.
