BELOW Coach Look s advice to Irish players paid off in victory. On Sunday, October 18, the sun was bright and so were the faces of loyal St. Thomas fans. This was the big day-our Homecoming game against Our Lady of Lourdes. Before the game floats and cars crowded onto the school parking lot preparing for the caravan. The queen and her court rode on the Senior float-a huge Shamrock. The junior float was awarded first place. Between the halves of the Irish all-the-way victory, the traditional half-time ceremonies took place before a large crowd of students, alumni, and other St. Thomas fans. Homecoming '71 was a weekend of fun and spirit that began with a lovely dance on Friday and lasted through the spirit-filled bonfire. Winning the game on Sunday brought a great weekend to a close.
