RIGHT: Our lovely queen. The weekend of October P6-18 brought the long awaited arrival of St. Thomas' 1970 Homecom- ing. The excitement of the .weekend began Friday evening at the traditional Homecoming dance, this year entitled Around the World in 71 Days. It was a glittering success with lovely decora- tions and the fine entertainment provided by The Whiz Kids. t Queen Clare! Canham reigned over the gala affair with her lcourt, Sheila Kinney, Debbie Kraft, Karen Kluin, and Mary Krasny. The evening proved to be' an enjoyable and ex- citing experience for all who sailed off around the worldL The bonfire on Saturdlay night made spirits blaze high. Held on the K of C grounds, it pro- vided an, opportunity for each class to try to out yell the other in cheers and for the whole high school to prove their spirit. In between these festivities students from the various classes worked secretly and feverishly to complete their floats which would be' shown in all their glory at Sunday's game.
