STSC-Democracy 111 Actlon The Student Council's works to bring about greater school unity as well as a closer relationship between the students and the faculty. Under the leadership of Sister Mary Robert, the Student Council has sponsored several projects. The Get Acquainted Dance introduced the Freshman to the rest of the school. Ghosts and goblins made the scene at the annual Halloween Dance. The Christmas Baskets lthanks to the rest of the school, of coursell provided food for the needy. The Christ- mas Mass is something surely to be remembered. The most unusual project of the year, was the revision of the dress code, which was appreciated by most of the students. The officers and the representatives from each class have truly contributed much toward a better school environment. l

. . l1I'SCS This year's Future Nurses Club has been more active than clubs in the past. In the course of the year, the girls attended meetings and rallies sponsored by the Michigan League for Nursing. During Public Health Week, the FNC members attended a lecture on public health and a luncheon at which top state offi- cials, including Governor Milliken, were guests. F Being a Future Teacher at St. Thomas is not a once-a-week activity either. This year's club organized many projects including collecting Christmas gifts for the men in Vietnam and planning a playground program for grade school children. 42 of the Future.
