OURSES LOOK TO THE FUTURE Personal typing, a recently added course to the St. Thomas curriculum, gives the students an opportunity to learn the funda- mentals of typing. Although teaching history last year, Miss laughrin has taken over all the business classes, which include personal typing, typing 1, 2, and bookkeeping. Bookkeeping is a step toward the business world. Students benefit greatly from the knowl- edge acquired in this subject. Clothing takes another step toward the future. Mrs. McKenna insures each student in the class the basics of sewing. Girls show their ability by the well tailored garments they make. ln Art, Mrs. McKenna also guides the students to develop their talents. Students in Art I learn the basic steps necessary to develop their talent. They use chalk, pencil, and brush resulting in some very creative works. Art II students acquire talent in other areas such as paper mache and yarn articles. 33
