W-ji :i :. v. H l M. SHAMRO Ann Afhopj-Mi M jn DEDICATION This issue of the SHAMROCK is dedicated to Monsignor Peek in honor of his twenty-five years as pastor at St. Thomas and as super- intendent of this school. Christian commitment for twenty-five years. . . —commitment to a life of truth, of love, of service; —commitment to the work of the builder, the educator, the pastor; —commitment to the spiritual, the intellectual, the physical factors that form a parish, a school, a community; —commitment to the apostolate of being and of doing. . . This is the indelible record that Monsignor Peek has carved on the stones of St. Thomas church, on the bricks of the school, and in the hearts of his parishioners, the children in the school, and in the memory of those citizens in Ann Arbor who have witnessed the spiritual and material growth and development of St. Thomas parish. Our school days are a witness to the commitment of a pastor who has a real hierarchy of values and who has spent himself in providing for us the type of education so necessary in an age that is seeking the truth that will make it really free. Because of twenty-five years of the Christian commitment of a pastor, we, the students in St. Thomas, KNOW THE TRUTH, LOVE THE TRUTH, AND LIVE THE TRUTH. .titf V ' FOREWORD Twenty-five years of Christian commitment to Monsignor Peek ' s ideals of education have given us the school-to-be-proud-of: a new grade school, a modern gym, the best equipment for all courses, an ade- quate faculty— all the factors neces- sary for school days that will pro- vide us with those encounters that we need in order to know the truth, to live the truth, and to spread the truth. TABLE OF CONTENTS The 1965 SHAMROCK aims to portray our daily encounters with faculty and classmates in the mutual search for those truths that will make us free persons ready to live and to share with others.
