MONSIGNOR AND HIS ASSISTANTS, FATHER GERALD NITOSKI, FATHER PATRICK JACKSON Nowhere is love made more visible than in the daily working hours of the parish priest. As Christ gave Himself by means of His work, so too a pastor delivers himself for the salva- tion of souls through the incessant demands made by his daily life in the parish. For twenty-four years Monsignor Peek has exemplified the devoted pastor whose first concern is the achievement of that work given to him through his ordination: preaching, teach- ing, and administering the sacraments. Second only to his deep interest in the spiritual growth of his parish is the continued effort of Monsignor to provide all the facilities necessary for the education of the children of St. Thomas. In the administration of his parish and school, Monsignor ' s two assistants. Father Nitoski and Father Jackson aid in many ways. But as teachers of religion in the high school, they instruct not only in the truths of Catholi- cism, but also by their personal example. Zealous, self-sacrificing, interested in each of the students, they present a living example of the value of Christian work undertaken for the sanctification of others. In our priests we see fulfilled the words of the poet: And in keeping yourself with labor, you are in truth loving life. And to love life through labor is to be intimate with life ' s inmost secret.
