CLASS HISTORY WX 'T On September 10th 1951 e1ghteen shy looklng freshmen set sall on the shlp St Thomas H1gh School 1n the Fleet of Educatlon Mr Burgess was our commander and off1cers were Presldent Dorothy Green Vlce Pres1dent Eumce Unke Secretary Carol Gesell Treasurer J1m Oby and Clayton Wagner was our Student Councxl Re presentatxve The sallors and waves were as follows Carol Chr1st1anson Patty Dappen Carol Gesell Dorothy Green Henry Hartje Marllyn Lauer Agnes Nord James Oby Aldora Paul Robert Rawllns Joyce Rob1nson Adel1ne Scharmer Llnda S1ewert Gayle Tlsdale Eunlce Unke Clayton Wagner Sh1rley Walls and Margaret Young Wanda Jameson Jo1ned our fleet 1n the early stage of tra1n1ng and before our f1rst year was up Agnes Aldora Henry and Wanda reslgned from thelr posts r Burgess qult teachlng and was replaced by Mlss Buzzell On October 3 we were 1n 1t1ated by the heartless sophomore crew It was our f1rst party aboard shlp A carn1 val was held November 16th our queen cand1date bemg Dorothy Green A Chr1stmas party was put on by the senlor class and 1n March the sophomore crew were honored at a return party In our Sophomore year our number was decreased to 14 Patty Dappen transferred to Callfornxa Our Commander was Mrs Lane The off1cers were as follows Pres1dent Clayton Wagner V1ce Presldent J1m Oby Secretary Carol Chrlstlanson and Treas urer Dorothy Green We 1n1t1ated the freshmen on October 10th and we also honored them at a party 1n the even1ng In November we were honored at a return party The Chr1stmas party was put on by the sen1ors In our Junlor year 12 enrolled for tra1n1ng Shlrley Walls transferred to Grafton and Marllyn d1d not return Our Commander was Mr Granger and the Class Off1cers were as follows Pres1dent EUHICG Unke V1ce Pres1dent Robert Rawlms Secretary Clay ton Wagner and Treasurer Carol Gesell Carol Chr1st1anson was our queen cand1date for the l1brary carn1val Our shlp attended an 1n1t1at1on party return party and the Chrlstmas party The Jun1or crew put on the prom for whlch the theme was 'Moon llght and Roses Mus1c was furnlshed by George Barta's Orchestra In the sprlng we decorated the hall for Baccalaureate and Graduat1on In our Senlor year eleven sallors and waves reenllsted for thelr f1nal year of traln 1ng Robert Rawl1ns d1d not return Mr Sm1th was our commander and off1cers were as follows Pres1dent Clayton Wagner V1ce Pres1dent Carol ChT1St1aHSOH Secretary Margaret Young and Treasurer Dorothy Green The usual school partles were held Our carn1val queen candldate EUHICG Unke was crowned by the 1953 Queen Jean Rob lnson on October 19 1954 We have now reached the end of our crulse and w1ll be sa1l1ng our separate ways 15 'X X : -l v qx , m .- ,. qi.
