SEPTEMBER 1950 OCTOBER NOVEMBER DE CEMB ER MAY JUNE SEPTEMBER 1951 OCTOBER NOVEMBER MAY SEPTEMBER 1952 MARCH APRIL MAY SEPTEMBER 1953 DECEMBER APRIL MAY Class Hzstory Twenty four shy freshmen enrolled in S T S to begin the1r high school days We elected Patr1c1a O Connor as president Mavis Anderson as v1ce pres1dent Margaret Dietrich as treasurer and Beverly Johnson as secretary Our f1rst hurdle to Jump was 1n1t1at1on by the sophomores which proved to be fun for all Our high school carnival queen candidate was Beverly Johnson Our class gave its first party in return to the heartless sophomores The senior class gave a Christmas party The Junior class sponsored then' annual prom and the setting was Hawaiian As we concluded our freshman year we felt the loss of Aldora Paul James Anderson Robert Schultz Kay Fisher Phyll1s Dppen and Buddy Whitson and gained Gordon Pederson As sophomores we entered the next year a little braver and wiser Margaret was elected president Beverly Chapman vice president Mavis secretary and Orlin Jackson treausurer We initiated the poor green freshmen and sponsored a party Then Shortly after they returned our hospitality This year as our queen candidate for the carnival we elected Beverly Chapman Towards the close of the school year we attended the Junior Prom The theme was Oriental Gardens ' farewell for another year We had lost another classmate Alvina the following weeks we bid Ba1er 1dent Jean Robinson as vice president Beverly Chapman as treasurer and Patricia as secretary Some of us took part in the Junlor senlor play The Campbells Are Comlng With the assistance of Mr Granger we sponsored the annual prom and the theme was April Showers George Barta's Orchestra furnlshed the music for the occasion Mavis and Beverly Johnson were the co cha1rmans Our Glee Club and Mixed Chorus attended two music contests in Walhalla and Grand Forks They rece1ved honors to go to the state contest also held in Grand Forks As our junior year closed we looked anxiously toward the next year Our senior year opened with the addition of Beverly Heazlett and Marcia McGlynn but we lost Gerald Wagner We chose Orlin for president LOIS Gross vice president Margaret Dietrich secretary and Beverly I-Ieazlett treasurer We received our class r1ngs and motored to Grand Forks to have class plctures taken The llbrarycommittee sponsored a carnival which the school took part in and Jean Robinson was crowned que n Took part in the Junlor senior play Saved By The Bell Enjoyed touring North Dakota on our skip trip wlth Mr and Mrs Hansen as chaperones Received our diplomas on the twenty seventh and our class attended a dance in Park River where a good time was had by all 10 O . . , . .
