SUDALITY Rev. Frank Holland, member of the Society ofJesus and teacher at the University of Detroit, is the Sodality moderator there. Having the ex- perience of running a Sodality, Fr. Holland has graciously given his time to helping in the direction of our highschoolSodality. The following are some of the ideas he left with us after his address to us during Catholic Youth Week. The Sodality can be Dyn a mite! It depends on how you run it. The difficulty to- day is that we actually don't think we need God very badly as high school Students. We get our three meals and we get along from day to day. If we would stop and think, we would realize that we couldn't even walk a step if God didn't give us the power. God has givenus everything we have. Nothing in ourlife should be more important than Jesus Christ. If thereis, then there's something wrong with us. We're not good Catholics, Christ just doesn't live in us. If we don't take God into our life now, someday we will come crawling on our hands and knees and beg that He at least look at us. We will beg for Him! We should find Him now! We, unlike thousands, have the opportunity of receiving the sacraments, the greatest help in the world. It is our life and at the end of it God won't ask us if we had fun, a good job, or made a lot of money. There's only one thing that matters--are you in the state of grace or not? We are all mediocre! We haven't got the guts to live according to God's plan but we run our life according to our likes and dislikes. Our sodality should rock the school and it would if we had enough men with guts to work for Christ. Talk about changing the world! Let's change our- selves into Christ first. We can't give what we don't have. Look at Christ on the cross! We put Him there and we've got to take Him off. We've got the ,fx grace nowg we're get- i ting the chanceg give Jesus Christ a chance in our life now. 1 ,Rfb ! 1 Carol Ann Kopitzki, So- dality prefect, offers a crown of roses to the Blessed Mother on be- half of all the students during May Crowning services.
