' Z?eAinc! fAe 3ceneJ As Athletic Director, Father Filip's cheerful manner has inspired the Bluestreaks to soar to tremendous heights. His abounding faith and con- fidence in the team instilled courage and self-reliance in every player. By his capable management of all athletic activities, he has gained ex- perience which will benefit him throughout life. This was a woman with a on to raise, Who watched for Him, who anned and labored, made Q Her small resources yield their managed good, Who had a calm word and a sinewed answer To their needs, who saw Him grow and marked His strength beneath the tan of many winds And who would seek, for always, after Him. Mary guided and watched the physical and spiritual growth of her Son. She saw Him grow into a strong man and a leader of men. Through good clean sports our mirfds and bodies grow physicallyg while through prayer we increase in spiri- tual strength. By participating in athletics, either as active players or as spectators, we are taught to prac- tice good sportsmanship and clean living. We are also taught to inter- cede to G-od and His Mother for help to participate in these activities to the best of our abilities. We render to Mar these tasks of joy asking her to guiahs as she once did her Holy Son in His youthful years.
