Just ask any of the four Comet reporters who took these pictures at St. Thomas Aquinas' first dance. Freshmen, the only ones enrolled this year, were greeted. in the cafeteria of the new school on Route 62 by the Brothers of Christian Instruction and the Sisters of St. Francis who staff the school. Four Fine Yeors - Lik IF IT FITS, SHE'S HIS. Each girl contributed a shoe for a shoe dance. From the pile, the boys took a shoe and matched it for a dance. Something we could use? IT HAD A HAPPY ENDING. At least for mostg if you look closely, there seems to be one unfortunate in the crowd. As pictured in the Comet, Central's school newspaper, Aquinas students can loolc back on our treshman year and be reminded ot H19 Qrowing up that was developed be- tween September I964 and June I968. Thot Will Lo September I964 began the history ot a new school and a new people-a very special lcind of people-Aquinas people. We were muc smaller then. had much more space. Such be gan that tirst year ot growing up. ot makin the transition trom grade school to hig school, ot becoming a real individual with rea thoughts and beliets.
