Through Cicerols con- sulship we lived in fear knowing that the Roman republic would soon fall. Through the Trojan War we feared for our life and our family. Through the wanderings of Aeneas, we learned to pity Dido. We have won a trophy and gloried in it. Now we can relax in the splendid banquet hall of the Caesars. And though the years may pass uit will perhaps please us lafer to re- member these things. ss..
