But today this ring says we must learn to under- stand ourselves and others so that we can reach our goals . . . that freedom is not lack of responsibility, but meet- ing responsibility . . . And that now is the time to realize we are no longer children, but young adults who are ready to accept our obligations. The Class of '76 received their rings on December 19, 1974. After the mass celebration a reception fol- lowed at the Knights of Columbus Hall in lselin.
