Q-7 wx' . ,U-QPR 5 The purpose of the Commercial Club, sponsored by Miss Gloria Casey, is to en- courage the students to become business minded and to promote a greater interest and a more active spirit in all commercial subjects. Anyone who has taken or is taking one or more commercial subjects with Z1 passing average and who has an active interest in the club, its purpose and necessary requirements for membership. The first meeting was held in the Church Lounge on October 10 following officers were elected: Virginia Hufnagel, Presidentg joan dent: Marguerite Renuart, Secretaryg and Bill Taylor, Treasurer. S ergearzt-at-Arm: Another activity added to the school curricular this year was the Civics Club. Spon- sored by Mr. Homko, this club was organized to train students in leadership, to acquaint them with the problems of society today, and to promote an active interest in the com- munity scholastic stanclagds, and the Catholic principles of St. Theresa High School. A charter was sent for and received. The club is now registered in Washington as a member of the Catholic Civics Clubs of America. The club sponsored many activities this year such as lectures on Parliamentary Pro- cedure and keeping order at the school football games. We engaged several prominent men and women to speak to the club. Students visited civic organizations and reported to the class. An arrangement to visit the Miami Federal court was made. joan Mack

The Association sold refreshments at all home football and basketball games. They worked hard to help the Men's Athletic Association make a success of their big raffle and weekly bingo games.
