As the leaders of peoples gather to parley and hurl threat against threat, each Christian is being personally challenged to do what he can to preserve civilization. There are two vital contributions each of you can make. You can lead constantly a deeply Catholic, apostolic life, and you can bend your best efforts to the further learning and diffusion of that truth, philosoph- ical, social, and political which is the free world's only effective weapon against godless materialism.
