The Deacon, ' 56 Latin Award, 55 Football Letterman, ' 56 Soccer Letterman, ' .56 JAY . . . most affable fellow in class . . . his easy-going, fun-loving exterior obscures the man of concentrated activ- ity beneath, however . . . like the ancient Greeks in his desire to know about everything . . . schoolwork comes naturally — his grades are a goal for us all . . . St. Stephen ' s good teachers and curriculum are why he transferred here from Mt. Vernon . . . played the role of the intellectual last year . . . since then has had a long talk with Zeus . . . is now an enthusiastic ladies man . . . scorns women-haters . . . member of football, soccer, and tennis teams in sports dept. . . . All-.State clarinet blower at public high school . . . plays in Alexandria Civic Symphony and Band . . . Dixie- land man all the way . . . has large record collection to play on his hi-fi set . . . master of caricature . . . did all these subtle cartoons in The Scroll . . . always drawing bitter burlesques of teachers who cross him . . . likes everything in general and really dislikes nothing in particular — at- tributes which will stand him in good stead at Yale.

' Glorious .Apollo . . . most obvious ladies ' man in class . . . favorite subject is the female make-up . . will follow up on this at Wahoo, where he plans to start on medical career . . . constantly kidded about a certain (cen- sored) Clinic . . . arch-exponent of the long greasy haircut . . . enjoys informal parties — the more informal, the better . . . hobbies include making out, playing football, and loaf- ing on his farm . . . best aspect of St. .Stephen ' s, he says, is its nearness to St. Mary ' s . . . positively peeved by necessity to go to school ... is most ingenious and successful deviser of ways to circumvent attendance ... a hail-fellow, well- met in all respects . . . always asking pertinent questions in class . . . generally on honor roll, despite night life . . . quick-witted . . . has managed for some time now to elude pummeling by fearsome G.W. fraternity . . . wishes to state for last time that there is nothing to those nasty deep freeze rumors.
