Time enough for hearts and minds, past and present, to work a permanent change in the face of an institu- tion: perhaps smiling a bit more fully, certain- ly wiser, tempered through experience, and showing a scar for each person ever to share in its being. But then, 1970 wasn ' t a perfect year. Despite sudden changes in the YEAR BOOK staff, schedules, and format, we believe this yearbook has set a record in originality and photographic presenta- tion. We have dispensed with the traditional lay- out concept of prose descriptions for each se- nior, point-blank, posed photos, and lengthy wri- te-ups for every aspect of school activities. We requested to produce this book entirely without faculty advice and support, to make it clear that students do not always require week-to-week fa- culty supervision; that we can manage success- fully on our own. With the result of this ven- ture, the class of 1970 dedicates the Yearbook to Villa San Valentino and all members of St. Stephen ' s School. ' -•. U. PLEVISANI, J. MILAM, P. OLSEN, G. SCHON C.
