IFOIRIEWOIRID With the rosary in our hands . . . and prayer on our lips to the Patroness, Our Lady of Fatima . . . we present you the l95l STAN-EM. Upon the leaves between its covers, we have pressed the valuable lessons taught, the cherished memories garnered within the hallowed walls, To you . . . we, the ACTIONISTS, present a general view of ST. STANISLAUS HIC-H SCHOOL preparing for Catholic and American citizenship, that is, to show how we pay God the debts of homage and love we owe Him, how we train in the democratic principles safeguarded by the Constitution: how we learn that the dignity of man is the dignity conferred by God on the moral community and the dignity of political authority is the dignity it enjoys through its participation in the authority of Cod. - Pope Pius Xll Thus, under the shadow of the dome of St. Peter and the shadow of the dome of our National Capitol, we prepare for citizenship both in the kingdom of Christ and i-n God's own country, the good old U.S.A. Catholic Action often consists of doing nothing, but we shall deem it our privilege and sacred duty to plunge into the fray, for the time for reflection and planning is past, now is the time for ACTION. May you all fall in step with us as we march through these pages to the beat of our heart and the tu-ne of our youthful spirit.

All JESUM PEB MAHIAM Again-sooner than one realizes--Graduation Day is upon us. It seems but yesterday, that I welcomed the Class of 5l, as Freshmen-and here I am bidding them farewell. Needless to say, it is with a sad heart that I do so. The one thing that brings joy to the moment is the reasoned conviction, that again we are sending into the world, a new group of young men and young ladies grounded in the doctrines of the Church and the principles of sound American citizenship-to make a place for them- selves in the world. I am extremely happy that you have dedicated the STAN-EM and your Graduation Activities to the Holy Father. It is a debt of gratitude that you are paying to one of the greatest Pontiffs of all time,- The Friend of Youth and the Pope of the Dogma of the Assumption of Our Lady. lndirectly, you bespeak my own personal gratitude-that welled in my heart ever since my return from the privileged audience with the Holy Fatherj During the Holy Year, you have, no doubt, sensed in all my talks to you, my own deepened devotion, ardent love and unmistakable loyalty to His Holy Person. I am gratified that you selected as your call to arms, the motto To Jesus through Mary -alerting yourselves to the powerful intercession of Our Lady of Fatima. In these troublesome times, the atomic weapon in your hands must needs be the ROSARY. May I hope that as future leaders, you will spearhead the movement of the Family Rosary. As ACTIONISTS, you can hardly do less. May the hopes we place in YOU, bear the expected results! May you ever be a credit to God, your Country and your School! May the c-hoicest blessings of Our Lord be heaped upon you. Assuring YOU-that I shall follow your future successes with pardon- able pride--I am sending YOU off with a God Bless You.
