V, ww, daound jim, Bama, O Last but not least on the St. Stanislaus athletic program is baseball. For many years our school has successfully competed in softball. Then in the spring of l945, it was decided that we should enter baseball competition. Thus a club was formed under the tutorship of Coach Freckles Butkowski. lnexperience got the best of us as we faced strong oppo- sition from St. Ladislaus, St. Catherine, DeLaSalle and Catholic Central. The season was none too successful as all but one game was dropped. The Broncos hope to do better in league competition this year with most of last year's first team returning.
