PRESIDENTS MESSAGE Dear Friends, What a flood of thoughts rush in upon us as the school year draws to a close! Some are happy thoughts, some bring a twinge of sorrow. Most, however, are thoughts of joy and gratitude. Our reflections turn first to our students . . . our boys,” especially to our seniors. St. Stanislaus was founded to inculcate into American youth the ideals and aspirations of Christian living. Are not, then, our pupils the embodiment of our ideals, the culmination of our hopes ? We pray that it may be so. We share the happiness of the seniors as their graduation nears, but their departure will be accompanied by sad farewells. To the parents of our students, we are deeply grateful for their confidence in intrusting their sons to our care. We appreciate this compliment and assure them that we dedicate our lives for their care. Into their homes, into business, into all their living, our alumni have brought the high ideals with which they were imbued at St. Stanislaus. They are leaders in a world where leadership is so direly needed. We are proud of them. How express our gratitude to the faculty—the Brothers, lay teachers, our doctor, our nurse, who have given themselves without counting the cost! May God abundantly reward them! To the priests of Our Lady of the Gulf parish, to the Fathers of the Society of the Divine Word, we are indebted for innumerable favors and courtesies.
