Although he seemed rather quiet in his first few days, we were soon surprised and astounded at the mellifluous vocabulary with which he plied as so often and so deftly. Since those first few days of comparative silence we have become quite accustomed to hearing all sorts of tongue-twisting nouns, adjectives, and verbs pour freely and easily from the lips of this year's Arrow,' editor. Socially, Vin gets around , and has been reported operating in such towns as Revere and Newton on more than one occasion, Of late his interests, self-admittedly, have been directed more in the direction of a certain undertaking establishment in the coastal town of Revere. In the company of Bill Reagan, Vinny,' has been a source of income for the f'Pole'l, and from this gay center of swing and sway have filtered many intriguing escapades. One big result of the impact of these reports is the very persistent rumor which indicates that Vin is now dancing to the strains of that old favorite, Somebody Stole My Gal. Vin has been an active participant in the sports of the school since his first term. For two years he played j.V. football, baseball, and basketball. In the past two years he has been a constant member of coach Murphy's baseball team on which he has filled the position of moundsman. Although Vin has done quite well at sports, he has made the best display of his talents in the capacity of a debater on Fr. Beatty's teams. YVhile operating in this field Vin has more than once snowed under his worthy opponents with a whistling barrage of words that would send any better- than-average contender reeling to the dictionary in a desperate endeavour to decipher their meanings. After the toils of the Senior year are over, Mr. Burns will trudge up the Pike to the Cross , or perhaps continue on the longer way to Georgetown. No matter where Vin decides to try his talents, we feel quite sure that a well deserved success will crown all his efforts as it did here at Saint Sebastian's. l25l ARC rov Au V Ill x To eq w . 55 o A x
