For this blessed endowment we are deeply and sincerely grateful to God. Linder God and for Cod we live our day. Whether we study or whether we play, it is His guiding benevolent influence that leads the way. 1 am the Way. the Truth, and the Life proclaims our Leader. We hear and we follow. Christ challenges: we rise to meet the challenge. We are a small army of youth striving to learn Collis way in a chaotic world. Wve, the Seniors, are entering a confused, secularistic and materialistic world. It is a world lost in an entangle- ment of deceit, prejudice, and disillusionment. It is dif- ficult for it to see its Cod aml Creator. 'l'herel'ore, we who have been taught the true perspective of Christian living must carry the torch of Christianity into the office, the shop, the hospital, the Armed Service. Ahoye all we must carry it into the home. In this our day we will be Christ-bearers. We appre- ciate what this world has to offer with a judgment horn of deep, clear, prayerful thinking. We shall dare to do the rightg to he pure and true: to love our fellowmen: to work always for truth and justice. Yve shall never fail to asknowledge our dependence upon Cod, our Creator. We shall do our part to make this world a better place. The powers of darkness will not triumph where we shall have an opportunity to exert an influence. What else can we do after having had four vears to is drink deeply from the l ierian springs of learning and the wells of Christian thought. A SEN IORS Seventy-tu'o graduates who gaze won- deringly and prayerfully towards the C 4 years that lie ahead. Despite the presence of its four starring seniors, Forwards, Harriet L'Hommedieu and .lean Day, and Guards, Geraldine Milmoe and Phyllis Fluhr. The girls fell short of the mark many times after hard-fought but vain battles for vic- tory. In the games they did win, those against Star of the Sea, St. Peter's, New Brunswick and St. Michaells the Rossettes showed the latent talent it possessed and which, with a little luck, could have turned a comparatively poor season into a brilliantly successful one. Hope springs eternal, however, the con- sistently fine play of the underclassmen leads us to believe that another era of fine girls, basket- ball is just around the corner. The abundance of Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors on the bench should gladden the heart of Father Kane, who must see a rainfall of victories after this year's discouraging drought of near-wins which, it saddens us to say it must remain in the rec- ord book as losses. Some of these underclassmen who have distinguished themselves and who, in our opinion, deserve special mention, Janette Gilmore, Ellen Carr, Beth M'Ardle, Rita Lang, Mary ,lean Claton, Pat Sheridan. These will bring many future victories for the honor and glory of God and St. Rose. Good luck girls!! Day, Geraldine Milmoe.
